This chicken cordon bleu recipe is a game changer! Try it out for your next dinner and everyone in the family will love it!

In my family when its your birthday my mom would let you pick the meal, sides, and dessert the Sunday before your birthday. I remember my sister Savannah picking this meal almost every single time. Recently I have started making it again for my family (at least once a month). It has become one of our favorites and I promise it will become your families too!

How to Make Chicken Cordon Bleu

Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 chicken breasts
  • 7 oz package of sliced ham
  • 8 oz package of cheese cubes (jack and cheddar)
  • 1 cup milk (place in a bowl)
  • 1 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs (place on a plate)
  • pepper
  • toothpicks

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Pound chicken breasts to flatten. Place 2 slices of ham and 3 cubes of cheese. Roll up. Dip in milk and roll in bread crumbs and pepper. Insert toothpick to keep rolled together. Place in a pan, cover with foil, and bake for 45-60 minutes.

How to Make the Yummy Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 large family size can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 lb Jack cheese
  • 1/2 soup can of milk
  • 3 Tablespoons dried parsley
  • 1/4 lb. sharp cheddar cheese
  • 16 oz container of sour cream ( to add later)

Instructions

Melt together over medium heat on the stove until everything is mixed and melted together. Then add sour cream.

Step by Step

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F and pound chicken breasts to flatten.

 2. Place 2 slices of ham and 3 cubes of cheese.

3. Then roll it up tightly making sure the cheese is still in the center.

4. Next, dip in milk and roll in bread crumbs and pepper.

5. Insert toothpick to keep rolled together. Place in a pan, cover with foil, and bake for 45-60 minutes.



6. Take out of the oven and let cool. Now it’s time to make the sauce!

 
 
7. First gather all of your ingredients for the sauce together.
 
 
8. Melt everything together over medium heat on the stove until it is mixed and melted.
 
 

9. Then add sour cream and mix it together well.

 
 
10. Pour the sauce over the top of the chicken cordon bleu and enjoy!

  • 1/4 lb sharp cheddar cheese
  • 16 oz sour cream
