Vacationing in Telluride, Colorado

It has become a family tradition of ours to spend the 4th of July in Telluride, Colorado. That town has stolen our hearts for its luscious green summers and amazing weather. I know Telluride is a hot vacation spot in the winter time but summers in Telluride are an absolute hidden gem! The town also has an amazing 4th of July celebration with a farmers market, parade, BBQ in the park, fireworks and more!

We have stayed at The Peaks Resort and Spa the past 2 years and love the grounds and views, rooms, pool, spa, golf coarse, and of course the food! The location is in Mountain Village and just steps away is fun activities for the kids like the hamster ball, trampoline, and ropes course. Along with shopping and yummy food places. The location is just a short walk away from the gondola ride which takes you into the town of Telluride.

Lets start with the resort. Here are a few pictures of the grounds, rooms, spa, and all other goodies that The Peaks Resort and Spa has to offer.

I was able to enjoy the room with the 2 king beds. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were down feather pillows! My favorite! It had a lot of room in the room for my entire family and a great balcony view of the golf course.  The bathroom is very nice and upgraded with nice fixtures and a relaxing shower head.

Next up is the food that I was able to enjoy at The Peaks Resort and Spa. With a family with young kids we are all about convience we order room service a lot. It is easy for me to keep my kids contained in our room with a show on or an area where they can play with their toys while we wait for our food to arrive. We got breakfast through the hotels room service daily! The kids meals are huge! They are priced at a great price of around $7 for each meal. My kids tried the cheesy eggs, bacon and toast, pancakes, and steel cut oatmeal. My husband ordered the steel cut oatmeal with almonds and berries each morning. I had the locals special and loved their bacon and potatoes.

I also grabbed a blueberry muffin and strawberry yogurt from their little market and loved the blueberry muffin! It was amazing! And the granola from the parfait was homemade and super yummy. They are great options that you can grab quick and gluten free options too!

We also enjoyed food by the pool at the Deep End Pool Bar. We ordered the meat pizza with pepperoni, sausage and bacon and the kids had the grilled cheese and the chicken fingers and french fries. We also enjoyed some virgin pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris.

We ate at the Palmyra restaurant a few times. For breakfast we tried the breakfast sandwich, the locals special and the market table buffet where the waffles were the big hit!

We had some dessert at the Palmyra restaurant and my son enjoyed the dirt and worms and I had the Nutella Bread pudding.

For lunch we order the kids mac n cheese and chicken tenders and fries. We also tried the lonestar burger with sweet potato tots, the truffle fries, steak frites and the parmesan crusted grilled cheese with tomato soup. Everything tasted so yummy! My husband and dad cleared their plate of the Steak Frites and 3 people ate the Lonestar burger and loved it. I loved the sweet potato tater tots and the parmesan crusted grilled cheese.

The men were able to go play a round of golf and loved the course. It was a very forgiving coarse with great surroundings. Next year I am going to go with them to be able to experience how amazing and beautiful the coarse is!

The women went to the spa. I got the relaxing taylor made massage and loved the oils and the type of relaxing massage that it was. They have great options for different treatments and have a great spa facility with a steam and sauna room. They have a great relaxing jacuzzi. They also have a full treatment

Besides the food, golf and spa my kids love the pools and water slide!
