Peanut Butter and Banana Steel-Cut Oatmeal

My youngest son is obsessed with oatmeal. It is always his favorite food on the questionaries that they do at school. Maple & Brown Sugar is his fav! The only problem with oatmeal each morning is that it takes a little longer on busy before school mornings. He is also my child who is very particular! If something is too hot, too cold, too spicy, or too sweet he will have nothing to do with it!

When I discovered this oatmeal I was surprised and ecstatic! And I love steel cut oats more then any other type of oatmeal! So honestly it was a match made in heaven for our home! My son will eat this straight up just the way it is! But I wanted to throw in one of my favorite oatmeal combinations to share with you all! So here it is! Peanut butter and banana steel cut oats!

So here is the line up....

Pour oatmeal into bowl

Add half of a banana smashed up

Mix in a scoop of peanut butter

 Stir it on up!

Sprinkle on some brown sugar and cinnamon

Top with some sliced bananas

Drizzle on some honey

Serve it on up!

Peanut Butter & Banana Steel-Cut Oatmeal
1 (10 ounce) container Pacific Organic Steel Cut Oatmeal (Maple & Brown Sugar)
1 Banana
1 Tablespoon peanut butter
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
pinch of cinnamon
toffee bites (optional)
honey (optional)
milk

Pour the ready to eat Pacific steel-cut maple& brown sugar oatmeal into a bowl. Cut the banana in half and mash up one of the halves. Mix the mashed banana in the oatmeal. Then mix in the peanut butter. In a container combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over the oatmeal. Slice up the other half of the banana and lay the banana slices on top of the oatmeal. Top with more of the brown sugar mixture and the toffee bites. Drizzle with honey. Pour as much milk or cream as you would like on the oatmeal. Then eat up!

Favorite Fall Baking Recipes

When fall comes around I am ready to turn on my oven again and get baking! I love baking with apples in the month of September and of course pumpkin is in full swing come the end of September and all throughout October.

The transition from fall to holiday baking is one of my favorite times of the year! October is a month full of entertaining and parties in our home. So having treats and baked goods ready is a key ingredient when entertaining.

So lets start with some yummy fall breakfast ideas!

These Sunshine Muffins: they are full of apples, carrots, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Those spices scream fall to me and they are one of my most popular recipes on the blog!

These pumpkin crumb doughnuts with brown butter frosting were downed by all my neighbors! I posted a picture and had 2 friends randomly stop by and ask to sample haha. I made them a couple times last year and loved them every single time!

And I am dying to try these Pumpkin Pancake Poppers from Krusteaz

These No Bake Pumpkin Oatmeal Bars are perfect for an on-to-go breakfast or a fall snack

These apple turnovers have been a favorite of mine ever since I was a little girl. My aunt and mom make them all the time and although a little tedious and a lot of work they are work every bit of work!

Some of my favorite fall recipes include Krusteaz mixes! I am part of their Baker's Dozen which gives me an opportunity to create fun creative recipes using their products! Like this Brown Butter Apple Crumble
