Party Invitations

My son Remington turned 7 this month! He has always picked some pretty fun themes for his party. Here are some of the themes he has picked recently: Ninja turtles and Star Wars. This year he came to me and wanted a Pokemon Themed Party! So the party planning began! And of course a good party always starts with the right invitation! He has always loved the pop up invitations! So when I found this pokeball invitation on Etsy I knew it was the perfect one!

Party Balloons

Right when you walk in the party I displayed some balloons outside. The giant number balloons are always a favorite of mine paired with some Pokemon character balloons.

Pokemon Photo Booth

I decided to do something a little different this year. I usually just write the kids names on their goodie bags but this time I used the Fuji-film Polaroid Camera and the kids hoped in the photo booth with Remington with some photo booth props and then we clipped their pictures on their goodie bags. Multiple parents have told me that they displayed their photos of them and Remington in their rooms and it makes me so happy!

Party Goodie Bags

I also used these cupcake toppers and glued a paper clip to the back of them to created this little holder for the photos and then clipped it on the goodie bags.
These goodie bags are from an Esty shop that I have used for my last few parties. I always love her designs! I also love these tags from Cute By the Cut. You will see pics of my Mermaid and Unicorn Party tags also! Hopefully she will list these pokeball tags soon if not message her and hopefully she will make these for you because they are perfect and have a little custom message on the back.

Party Decor

I will talk more about the goodie bags and what was exactly in them a little later! So When you walked in the door there was a little table set up I had a jar with “guess how many poke balls” and with that I had some pokemon card booster packs as the prize. I had the photo booth props, I had posters put in frames, along with the goodie bags and I order these plastic containers and put these pokemon mini figures in them.

Personalize your party

Also on the table I had created personal Pokemon cards on lanyards for each of the kids. I had imported pictures of each kid and then Remington picked out what character they would be. It took a while to do these and it was hard for the children that didn’t RSVP for my sons school class but it made it all over the top and special! I took this laminator and laminating each of them so that they would hold up better.

Party Decor

I hung my favorite picture of Remington in an Ikea square frame and then hung this amazing felt Pokemon bunting. When it came in the mail I was beyond obsessed! So intricate and great quality!

Party banners

I then chose to hang this banner right when you walk in the party over the arch! It was the perfect length to hang from wall to wall. The banner was done amazingly and it was layered so it gave it a 3-D affect. She has some amazing items in her shop! She made me wish I was doing a Harry Potter party so I could use amazing Harry Potter banners! Her website can be found here.

On the other side of the table was this pokeball banner. Great quality and perfect for this arch way!

To the left I set up a little “gifts section.” I hung this GIFTS banner  I printed. I also had printed the REMINGTON banner. I hung the green dot banners and then some vinyl silhouettes  I had these printed in a few different sizes and hung them throughout the house!

Party Centerpieces

On the tables I had gumball machines that I found at the dollar store with white and red mini gumballs and then a variety of different red and white candies in circle jars that I got at the dollar store. I put some black washi tape and then I used some circle cutters and cut two different sizes of black and white circles. Throughout the party I put jars of these ping pong balls that I taped half way and then spray painted red to create the pokeball look. Some of them I add the black lines for the main areas and then on the table I just kept them red and white.  I also added these centerpieces throughout the party. I also got the little chalkboard signs from Michaels and used a chalkboard marker to write the table number on them. I also had my son make these little Pokemon characters out of building blocks.

Party Games and Activities

At the tables we have Pokemon card battling:
The other table I order these beads and circle pegboards that we ironed and the kids took home with them.
The other table we had face painting going on. I have an amazing face painted in Arizona that I have used multiple times.

Each child also got these graduation forms with their names on them.
We also had the kids make these fun paper airplanes that were a Pokemon pattern.
We also had fun and played bingo for prizes.

Balloon Arch

I also made this Pikachu balloon arch at the back of the party and more of a focal point when you walk in the house.
In the kitchen I hung this fun Happy 7th Birthday Banner from an amazing Etsy Shop! You can also see it hung behind the party set up.

Pokemon Prints

And on the other side of the room was the table with all the goodie bags and party favors! I am obsessed with these water color prints. Her shop is unbelievable!!!

I had to display this amazing print from Byoliart on Etsy.
Other things that were on the table were pokemon pins, bracelets, Pokemon fruit snacks, along with some other customized items. I also added more of the centerpieces to this table.

Take Home Gifts

The customized things that I had were these bubble wrappers and these bubbles.
I had the kids cut out their own glasses. They have a few different patterns and the kids loved the variety.
These little boxes were so cute and fun, they did take a while assembling 24 of them. But they were fun and I hid a little pokeball that had a figure in them in the box.

I wrapped these labels around mini chocolate bars.
My whole family are suckers for bath bombs!!! Like we use them multiple times a week! When I found someone on etsy that did Pokemon bath bombs, especially when they are bath bombs that you toss in your bath and then a Pokemon character comes out! You know you have to add them to the party!
I ended up tying these cute tags on the bath bombs to take them up a notch!
And since they were so amazing on their own I placed them in their own little bags with a Thank You for coming card!

Party Food

We added the chocolate covered oreos from the dessert table and put them in the goodie bags so that every person ended up eating them! Along with the sugar cookies in the personalized bags.
I also had these custom chip bags designed. I stuffed them with the custom popcorn that I ordered because I had so much of it. My son sure thought he was awesome when he say his name printed on the bags!
Now onto the food table! I ordered the backdrop from here and the balloons from here.
The food tents were designed here. I used these toppers for the ham and swiss baked sandwiches.
The these custom made popcorn cones I put white, black and red popcorn.

Cake and Treats

Cake in a jar has been a huge hit the last few parties. So I did white cake mix on the bottom and velvet on the top. I piped some green grass and then topped them with these amazing fondant poke balls that have a surprise in the center!
We had these little Pikachu cakes made with yellow cake mix in a mold.

I had an amazing cake and cake pops done by my friend Casey. You can find her website here. She is very affordable and has done my cakes for the last several parties.

The chocolate dipped oreos were one of my very favorites. They were super yummy and perfectly done.

Here are a few of the other food items that I had!

I took two plates together and made them into poke balls and then I served them with the silverware wrappers

I wrapper black utensils in a red napkin and then attached these super cute silverware wrappers around them! Perfection!
The drink wrappers were designed by a few different people. I like to add a variety of different designs to give the party more dimension rather then just getting everything from one shop.
The juice labels can be found here.
The powerade labels can be found here.
And the water bottle labels can be found here.

And the backdrop of the party had these 4 amazing posters of 4 pokemon characters.
For the ceiling I hung streamers and 3 stings and twisted them to make the ceiling covered and look more whimsical. I also blew up some balloons and connected them with fishing string to create a balloon garland!
Thank you so so much for Life Is Bluthiful for taking them amazing photos and for capturing my little boys day perfectly!

I may be a sweaty mess from hosting 40+ people in my house on a 110 degree weather day but everything is worth it for this special little boy of mine! Hope its a day he will remember forever!
